North Parking Lot
NORTHEAST LOTS will open Starting August 23
On Monday, August 23 NIFS Northeast Lots will open. These additional lots will provide NIFS members with an approximate 240 additional parking spaces. In addition, the NIFS North Parking Lot and its 120 spaces will continue to be open. You will enter the Northeast Parking Lots from the same entrance as the North Lot. We will have signage posted and staff will be on site to help you access the lots.
Parking WILL NOT be available in the IUPUI Sports Complex Garage after Sunday, August 22.
Please be sure your NIFS permit is visible when parking in the lots. Use of lots is only while using the NIFS facility.

Questions and Answers about Parking at NIFS
Why is NIFS parking lot changing locations?
The parking lot that NIFS has enjoyed for the last five years was leased from both White River State Park and IUPUI. Due to the expansion of the NCAA building, it was necessary to suspend these arrangements.
How do I enter the new NIFS North Parking Lot?
- From University Boulevard: Instead of going past our building, turn left at the three-way stop onto Blake Street (go up the hill). You'll see a ramp to the NIFS North Parking lot on your right. The entrance to the lot is the first opening in the center of the fencing on the north side. The exit is the opening closer to the northeast corner.
- From New York Street: Go past University Boulevard and turn right onto Blake Street (just past the Natatorium). Turn right onto Ohio Street and go to where it dead ends at Blake Street and turn left. You'll see a ramp to the NIFS North Parking lot on your left. The entrance to the lot is in the center of the fencing on the north side. The exit is the opening closer to the northeast corner.
- From Michigan Street: Turn left onto Blackford Street and just past Eskenazi Hall (Herron School of Art & Design), turn right onto Ohio Street. Follow Ohio Street to where it dead ends at Blake Street and turn left. You'll see a ramp to the NIFS North Parking lot on your left. The entrance to the lot is in the center of the fencing on the north side. The exit is the opening closer to the northeast corner.
Stairs have been built to take you from the parking lot to University Boulevard and a crosswalk has been painted to make crossing University Boulevard easier.
Will there be a parking gate at NIFS Parking Lots?
No gate will be necessary. NIFS staff and staff from ESG Security will constantly check the lot to ensure that it is available to NIFS members. Currently, NIFS allows members and patrons to use the NIFS lot ONLY while using the facility. This will continue to be the case, but stronger enforcement will be necessary to ensure that members and patrons have the spaces they require. Continue to prominently display your NIFS parking permit on your car mirror or dash so that you can be easily identified and avoid being towed.
